Five Days A.D. (After Discovery)
It's been five days since I officially wrapped up #30DaysOnFire. Five days since I completed the month-long journey of purposefully and intentionally doing whatever it took to find what sets my soul on fire.
I learned a whole lot throughout the process, and am so proud of myself for sticking to a regimented and organized plan for a month of productivity and inspiration.
But... now what?
The thirty days have come and gone, and although I feel like I've gained some clarity regarding what sets my soul on fire (helping other people through relational service work, creative expression through writing and videography, becoming grounded - literally - through spending time outdoors, etc.) I'm not so clear on where exactly to go from here...
Do I continue to apply for jobs, crossing my fingers and hoping for the best?
Do I try something new, like pursuing freelance writing or full-time elderly care?
Do I sit around by the pool drinking lemonade until my savings run out? (Just kidding.)
All I know is this: I'm doing ok. Better than ok. I may not have every hour of the day planned out like I did during my #30DaysOnFire, but I know how I work best and how to hold myself accountable. I know how to manage my time and make the most of each moment. I know how to decompress when I start feeling anxious, and how to take a step back to gain perspective when I need it.
I don't know what tomorrow holds, but really - does anyone?
I feel confident I'll figure it out.
And I am at peace with that.
